Brianna Sanchez Killed, 10 Injured in Crash on Highway 99 Near Mountain View Avenue

6 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Selma Accident

Selma, CA (May 10, 2020) – An 11-year-old girl was killed and 10 others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Selma. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of May 10 on Highway 99.

A big rig driven by Deudiel Ramirez, 60, of Dinuba, caused a crash on northbound Highway 99, near Mountain View Avenue. The truck crashed into five vehicles, including a Lincoln Navigator operated by Alejandro Sanchez, 17, of Delhi. An Infiniti QX60, a Ford pickup, a Toyota pickup and a GMC van were also involved. 

The big rig caught fire due to the impact. A 11-year-old girl from Delhi – identified as Brianna Sanchez – was a passenger in the Navigator. She died at the accident scene. 

Sanchez sustained moderate injuries and his four passengers suffered major injuries. The driver and passenger in the Infiniti suffered major injuries. The GMC van driver suffered minor injuries. Three passengers and the driver of the Toyota pickup were treated at the accident scene. The driver of the Ford pickup was not injured.
