Briauna Ramirez Killed in Crash on 105 Freeway Near Long Beach Boulevard
3 Vehicles Involved in Fatal Lynwood Accident
Lynwood, CA (October 24, 2020) – One person was killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Lynwood. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 24 on the 105 Freeway.
A 24-year-old man entered the 105 Freeway in the wrong direction and collided head-on into another vehicle near Long Beach Boulevard. A passenger in that vehicle, identified as Briauna Ramirez, 18, died at the accident scene.
There were four other passengers in that car. They include an 18-year-old Coachella resident, a 29-year-old Coachella woman, a 28-year-old woman from La Quinta and a 28-year-old woman from Thousand Palms. All were hospitalized with major injuries.
The wrong-way driver, a West Covina resident, suffered moderate injuries. They were taken to a local hospital and later arrested for drunk driving.
A third vehicle was involved, but no details about its occupants were released.
