Firefighter Dies When Car Overturns in Fatal Merced Accident

Merced, CA (June 8, 2019) – A Cal Fire firefighter was killed in a rollover crash in Merced. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of June 8 on Snelling Road.

Captain Stacy Hamilton was off duty and traveling alone in a Subaru Outback when the vehicle drifted off the road and overturned. Hamilton, 49, died at the accident scene. He was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
