Carson Gates Killed in Crash at Nees and Chestnut Avenues

Drunk Driving Causes Fatal Fresno Accident

Fresno, CA (April 25, 2020) – A man was killed in a DUI crash in Fresno. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of April 25 at Nees and Chestnut avenues.

A Volkswagen was heading west on Nees Avenue when it was hit by a pickup while making a turn. A passenger in the car was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. He was later identified as Carson Gates, 19, of Fresno. The driver of the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck, identified as James Mitchell Anderson, 26, was not injured but was arrested for DUI.
