Catherine Sunday Dies in Ambulance-Car Crash in San Lorenzo

San Lorenzo, CA (May 7, 2018) – A crash on the morning of May 8 has killed a woman.Catherine Sunday, a 74-year-old woman, died in the accident, which occurred at Hesperian Boulevard and Lewelling Boulevard in San Lorenzo.

The accident occurred when an ambulance on Hesperian Boulevard hitan Audi on Lewelling Boulevard. The ambulance had lights and sirens on when the accident occurred. Sunday, a resident of San Leandro, was inside the ambulance at the time of the crash. She suffered major injuries and later died at a local hospital.

Three emergency workers in the ambulance were injured in the San Lorenzo accident and have been released from the hospital.The driver of the Audi has been hospitalized for moderate injuries.
