Charles Brechtel Killed in Motorcycle Crash on O’Byrnes Ferry Road

Motorcycle, SUV Collide Head-on in Fatal Goleta Accident

Copperopolis, CA (April 25, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Copperopolis. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of April 25 on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

Charles Brechtel, 62, was heading north on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, near Duchess Drive, on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He swerved across the double yellow lines for unknown reasons and ended up hitting a Chevrolet Equinox head-on. Brechtel was ejected from the motorcycle. He died at the accident scene.

Briana Mason, 29, of Davis, was driving the Equinox. She and her passenger, Evan Gorder, 29, also from Davis, were not injured in the crash.
