Fatal Accident 2

Galt, CA (January 28, 2020) – Two men were killed in a multi-vehicle crash in Galt. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 28 on Highway 99.

Charlie Mosqueda, 20, and Antonio Mosqueda, 33, both of Mexico, died Tuesday morning following a multi-vehicle crash involving three semi-trucks and a pickup on Highway 99 near Galt.

Antonio Mosqueda, 33, was driving a Chevrolet Silverado on northbound Highway 99, near Ayers Lane. Mosqueda slowed down as traffic started backing and a semi truck behind him did not slow down. It rear-ended the Silverado, causing a chain reaction.

The impact caused the Silverado to rear-end a Silverado in front of him. That truck then hit a third semi truck. Mosqueda and a passenger, Charlie Mosqueda, 20, were killed in the crash. Both were from Galt. The semi truck driver that hit the Silverado suffered minor injuries. He was identified as a 43-year-old man from Sacramento.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of Charlie Mosqueda and Antonio Mosqueda.
