Chicken Truck Crashes on San Pablo Dam Road, Causes Minor Injuries


Hundreds of Chickens Killed in San Pablo Accident

San Pablo, CA (September 5, 2019) – A truck carrying hundreds of live chickens crashed and caught fire in San Pablo, causing minor injuries to the driver. The accident occurred on the morning of September 5 on San Pablo Dam Road.

A big rig was heading west on Highway 80 near San Pablo Dam Road when the driver overcorrected and hit a center divider and another vehicle. The truck caught fire. The driver suffered minor injuries.

Hundreds of chickens were burned in the crash. About 50 birds survived and were caught by CHP officers and crews.
