Child Injured in Taxi Crash at Ocean Avenue and E Street


Mathew J. Buell Arrested for Felony Hit and Run, DUI in Lompoc Accident

Lompoc, CA (June 4, 2019) – A child was injured in a crash with a taxi in Lompoc. The accident occurred on the morning of June 4 at Ocean Avenue and E Street.

A boy was with his grandmother in a crosswalk in the intersection. He was pushing his bicycle when he was hit by a taxi. The boy suffered minor injuries and was treated at the accident scene.

The taxi driver fled the crash scene. Police later found the driver, 30-year-old Mathew J. Buell of Lompoc, and arrested him. He was charged with felony hit and run and DUI.
