Bakersfield, CA (January 7, 2020) – A child was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Bakersfield. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 7 on Cottonwood Road.

Evaristo Perez Nunez, 32, was driving a car on Cottonwood Road, near East Pacheco Road, when he collided with another vehicle. A third vehicle was involved. Nunez fled the accident scene.

Six people – four children and two adults – were injured in the crash. All were taken to a local hospital. A child later died.

Nunez was later found and arrested. He was booked into jail for felony hit and run causing serious injury.
