CHP Officer Injured in Crash on Highway 88 Near Inspiration Drive East


Patrol Vehicle Hits Tree in Pioneer Accident

Pioneer, CA (May 27, 2020) – A CHP officer was seriously injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Pioneer. The accident occurred on the morning of May 27 on Highway 88. 

A CHP officer was driving a Chevrolet patrol vehicle on eastbound Highway 88, near Inspiration Drive East, when they lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle hit a tree and came to rest in the westbound lane of Highway 88. The officer suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital.
