Los Angeles, CA (February 3, 2019) – An off-duty police detective has been arrested for causing a DUI accident in Los Angeles. The crash occurred on the afternoon of February 3 on the 405 Freeway.
Claudia Lopez, 43, was driving an Audi on the 405 Freeway. She was heading south when she crashed into a Honda, driven by a 55-year-old Los Angeles resident. The Honda crashed into a Hyundai due to the impact. The driver of the Honda suffered major injuries. The driver of the Hyundai was not injured.
Lopez was arrested and taken to jail, with bail set at $100,000 bail. The accident is still under investigation.
