On May 13, 2017, a crash scene on Highway 101 near Cloverdale, California, literally left a Chevrolet sedan in two pieces with the motorist still behind the wheel.
California Highway Patrol reports that a woman in the Chevrolet was headed southbound on the 101 when a northbound Toyota Sequoia crossed into her lane, causing the accident. The accident caused extensive damage to the Sequoia’s frontend, and ejected the driver from the SUV.
EMT transported both motorists to the hospital. Miraculously, the driver of the Sequoia only suffered minor wounds, and the other driver also sustained only minor injuries. Authorities believe drugs may have been a contributing factor.
