Customer Dies After Altercation With Lucky Supermarkets Employee


Shoplifter Attacks Employee in Fatal Antioch Incident

Antioch, CA (June 24, 2020) – A customer died after attacking an employee of Lucky Supermarkets in Antioch. The fatal incident occurred on the evening of June 24 at the Contra Loma Boulevard location.

A 34-year-old man stopped breathing after attacking a Lucky Supermarkets employee.
The employee, a 56-year-old man, caught the customer attempting to steal meat from the butcher’s counter. The employee then confronted the alleged shoplifter, who attacked him.

The customer stopped breathing during the altercation. Emergency crews tried to save the man, but he died at the scene. The employee was injured during the attack and was taken to a local hospital. He is currently in stable condition.
