Stolen Car Causes Head-on Accident in San Jose, Killing Dakota Posa
San Jose, CA (December 12, 2018) – A stolen vehicle led to a fatal head-on crash in San Jose. The accident occurred on the morning of December 12 at Stevens Creek Boulevard and Maplewood Avenue.
The crash happened when 34-year-old Edgardo Sanchez was traveling east on Stevens Creek Boulevard in a stolen Honda Accord while in the westbound lanes. He hit a Toyota Prius before hitting a Honda head-on.
Dakota Posa, 24, a passenger in Sanchez’s Honda, suffered fatal injuries. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. A 38-year-old man driving the other Honda suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
Sanchez was driving with a suspended license. He was arrested for multiple charges, inclusion auto theft and vehicular manslaughter.
