Daniel Figueroa Killed in Crash on Highway 33

2 Others Injured in Fatal Ventura Accident

Ventura, CA (July 19, 2020) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Ventura. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of July 19 on Highway 33.

Philip Stewart, 39, of San Francisco, was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee on southbound Highway 33 when he hit a motorcycle. The rider, Daniel Figueroa, 42, of Santa Barbara, died at the accident scene.

Two other motorcyclists were driving behind Figueroa. They swerved to avoid the crash and were both ejected. Hector Romero-Gutierrez, 26, of Santa Barbara, and Edgar Hernandez, 31, of Ventura, were taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
