David Lawson Killed in Crash on Highway 99 Near Sierra Drive


Victim Hit by Car in Fatal Modesto Accident

Modesto, CA (August 10, 2020) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash in Modesto. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 10 on Highway 99.

David Lawson, 41, was walking across the northbound lanes of Highway 99, near Sierra Drive, when he was hit by a car. Lawson was thrown into the middle of the freeway, where he was hit by a Ford Mustang. The driver lost control and crashed into the center divider.

Lawson died at the accident scene. The driver of the second vehicle remained at the crash site. However, the first driver fled the scene.
