DUI Accident in Woodacre Kills Debra DiBenedetto

Woodacre, CA (October 29, 2018) – A teacher was killed in a bicycle crash with a drunk driver in Woodacre. The fatal crash happened on the evening of October 29 on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

A bicycle and Ford Explorer collided near Railroad Avenue. The bicyclist was found in a ditch. She was taken to a local hospital, where she later died. The victim was identified as Debra DiBenedetto, a teacher at Dixie Elementary School. She was not wearing a helmet.

The driver of the Explorer, 24-year-old Paula Elizabeth Drake of Fairfax, was arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter. She was booked into Marin County Jail.
