Detective MaryLou Armer died of COVID-19 in March 2020. Cal/OSHA has charged the Santa Rosa Police Department with several complaints and fined the department $32,000.
The complaints include:
- Failure to report her illness.
- Failure to properly fit masks, face piece and barriers.
- Failure to comply with proper screening procedures
- Allowing symptomatic officers to return to work without testing
