Dolores Nelson Killed in Crash at Auburn Folsom and Eureka Roads

Car Rear-Ended in Fatal Granite Bay Accident

Granite Bay, CA (October 13, 2020) – A woman was killed in a rear-end crash in Granite Bay. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of October 13 at Auburn Folsom and Eureka roads.

Dolores Nelson, 92, from Folsom, was driving a Toyota Prius. She was stopped at the intersection for a traffic light. A 36-year-old man driving a Volkswagen Jetta was speeding when he failed to stop at the intersection. He rear-ended the Toyota, pushing it across a sidewalk and through a concrete wall.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital. Nelson later died. The man was hospitalized with major injuries.
