Victim Hit by Car in Fatal Redding Accident

Redding, CA (October 27, 2019) – A man was killed in a pedestrian crash in Redding. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of October 27 on Hilltop Drive.

Donald Kohls, 67, was walking when he was hit by a car at Casino Club, located at 1885 Hilltop Drive. The driver was Jeffrey Brown, 49. Kohls was taken to a local hospital, where he later died. Brown was arrested for DUI.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
