Driver Killed in Crash on San Pablo Avenue


Police Chase Leads to Fatal San Pablo Accident

San Pablo, CA (February 16, 2021) – One person was killed when a police chase led to a crash in San Pablo. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of February 16 on San Pablo Avenue.

Police officers tried to pull over a stolen vehicle in the 14500 block of San Pablo Avenue. The driver fled and drove northbound on San Pablo Avenue. Police quickly canceled the pursuit due to reckless driving.

Moments later, the stolen vehicle collided with another vehicle on San Pablo Avenue, near Richmond Parkway. The impact split the stolen car in two.

The driver of the stolen vehicle, a 25-year-old Richmond resident, died at the accident scene said. The driver of the other vehicle, a 34-year-old Hayward resident, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
