Driver Rescued After Falling Asleep in Pauma Valley
Pauma Valley, CA (October 15, 2018) – A driver was trapped after crashing down an embankment in Pauma Valley. The accident occurred on the morning of October 17 on State Route 76.
The highway was shut down after the driver fell asleep at the wheel and went 20 feet over the side of the road. Sheriff’s deputies used a helicopter to locate the driver.
The driver was found trapped inside their vehicle. They were rescued and are expected to survive with minor injuries.
