Edgar Antonio Martinez, Liliana Lisset Bautista Killed in Crash on South Union Avenue


Car Hits Wall, Fence in Fatal Bakersfield Accident

Bakersfield, CA (June 4, 2020) – Two people were killed in a solo-vehicle crash in Bakersfield. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of June 4 on South Union Avenue.

Edgar Antonio Martinez, 23, of Arvin, was traveling north on South Union Avenue when the car veered off the road near Ming Avenue for unknown reasons. The vehicle crashed into a cinder block wall and chain-link fence.

Martinez and his passenger, Liliana Lisset Bautista, 24, of Bakersfield, were ejected from the car. Neither were wearing a seatbelt. Both died at the accident scene. 

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the friends and loved ones of Edgar Antonio Martinez and Liliana Lisset Bautista.
