Edgar Martin Ramos Martinez Killed While Working for Clements Tree Service Inc.

Victim Struck by Tree in Fatal Mill Valley Accident

Mill Valley, CA (January 27, 2020) – A worker was killed while removing a tree for a homeowner’s association in Mill Valley. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of January 27 on Chamberlain Court.

Edgar Martin Ramos Martinez, 37, from San Rafael, was performing services as a tree service business worker when the accident happened. Martinez, who works for Clements Tree Service Inc., was removing trees at 803 Chamberlain Court for a homeowner’s association when a tree fell on him. 

Martinez suffered traumatic injuries to his head and torso. When paramedics arrived, he was in cardiac arrest. He died at the accident scene.

Cal/OSHA is investigating the fatal accident. The investigation will determine if any worker safety and training procedures were violated.
