Employee Bitten by Thief in Blackhawk Plaza


Man Arrested in Danville Incident

Danville, CA (July 5, 2020) – A Blackhawk Plaza store employee was bitten during a confrontation with a thief. The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 5 in Danville. 

Bystanders restrained a man, identified as San Jose resident Trung Ly, 25, after he was caught stealing from a store in Blackhawk Plaza. He was held down on the ground by a store employee and another person.

Ly bit the employee. The person was injured but treated at the scene. Ly was arrested for multiple charges, including grand theft, burglary and assault with a deadly weapon. He is currently in jail, with bail posted at $30,000.
