Teen Runs Red Light in Salinas Accident
Salinas, CA (June 14, 2019) – Four people were injured in a crash in Salinas. The accident occurred on the evening of June 14 at Natividad Road and Los Coches Avenue.
A Chevrolet Silverado pickup stopped at a red light at the intersection. When the light turned green, the truck made a left turn. It was hit by a Honda Accord that had run a red light.
The truck spun around and tipped onto its side. Filomenia Ruelas, 54, was ejected from the vehicle. The 29-year-old female driver and 26-year-old male passenger were also injured. The driver of the Honda, Christian Reyes, 19, also suffered injuries in the crash. All four were taken to a local hospital. Reyes was charged with reckless driving.
