Fred Robino Killed in Crash at Geneva Avenue and Prague Street
Paris Powell Arrested in Fatal San Francisco Accident
San Francisco, CA (August 15, 2020) – A man was killed in a hit and run crash in San Francisco. The fatal accident occurred on August 15 at Geneva Avenue and Prague Street.
Fred Robino, 63, was driving a Toyota minivan on Prague Street when he was hit by an Audi A3 at the intersection. Prior to the crash, the Audi was involved in a police chase. The driver, Paris Powell, 20, then ran a red light and that was when he collided with the minivan.
Robino died at the accident scene. Two passengers, a 35-year-old woman and a 57-year-old woman, suffered major injuries. Powell abandoned the Audi and fled the accident scene on foot. He left his four passengers.
The two women in the Toyota and the four occupants of the Audi were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Police later found Powell with a firearm in his possession. He faces multiple charges, including homicide, evading an officer, reckless driving, child endangerment, delinquency of a minor, hit and run and carrying a concealed firearm.
