Gabriela Rosas Injured in Pedestrian Crash on North Dutton Avenue
Jorge Robolledo Jr. Distracted by FaceTime Call, Causes Santa Rosa Accident
Santa Rosa, CA (September 9, 2019) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after she was hit by a teen driver distracted by a FaceTime call in Santa Rosa. The accident occurred on the evening of September 9 on North Dutton Avenue
Gabriela Rosas, 20, was walking across the two northbound lanes of North Dutton Avenue, at West Eighth Street, when she was hit by Jorge Robolledo, Jr., 18, of Santa Rosa. Robolledo was driving a Honda Civic while talking on a FaceTime call. He didn’t realize Rosas was walking in the crosswalk and didn’t brake before hitting her.
Rosas was catapulted into the air and landed on the asphalt. She suffered serious head injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Robolledo stopped and cooperated with police.
