Pacoima, CA (September 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist died in a crash after fleeing from CHP officers in Pacoima. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of September 19 on the 5 Freeway. 

Police were called after a group of about 10 motorcycles were doing tricks, recording video and blocking traffic on the northbound 5 Freeway. Two motorcycles were found in the area. CHP officers attempted to make an enforcement stop. One motorcycle crashed into a wall on the Terra Bella Street exit. The motorcyclist, identified as Gerardo Samaniego, Jr., 26, of Pacoima, died at the accident scene.
