George Kokoteev Arrested for DUI in Fatal Los Angeles Accident

Lake Los Angeles, CA (October 8, 2019) – A girl was killed and four others were injured in a crash in Lake Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of October 8 on Avenue O. 

A Nissan Xterra was heading east on Avenue O, near 165th Street East, when it drifted into the westbound lane. It hit a Nissan Altima head-on.

A passenger in the Altima, a 5-year-old girl, died in the crash. Tijera Taylor, 26, Kion Phylow, 27, and two children – a 1-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy – were also in the Altima. They suffered moderate injuries.

The driver of the Xterra, identified as 61-year-old George Kokoteev, was injured in the crash. He was arrested for DUI.
