Whittier Pedestrian Accident Kills Harley Ferris, Critically Injures Robert Ferris
Whittier, CA (November 4, 2018) – A 2-year-old girl was killed and her father was injured in a pedestrian accident in Whittier. The fatal crash happened on the evening of November 4 on Santa Gertrudes Avenue.
Robert Ferris, 32, and his daughter Harley Ferris, 2, were holding hands and crossing Santa Gertrudes Avenue when they were hit by a Lexus ES350 sedan heading north. The two were not in a crosswalk at the time of the crash.
Both victims were taken to a local hospital. Harley later died. Her father is in critical condition.
The driver of the Lexus, William Hurlbut IV, 39, stopped and cooperated with responding officers. All three involved are from Whittier.
