Car Collides With Traffic Pole in Fatal Cathedral City Accident

Cathedral City, CA (May 31, 2019) – A young man was killed when he hit a traffic signal pole in Cathedral City. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 31 at Vista Chino and Landau Boulevard.

Isaac Gallardo, 19, of Cathedral City, was heading east on Vista Chino when he slammed into a traffic signal at the intersection. His Toyota Supra hit a pole at the southeastern corner of the street. The vehicle sustained significant damage.

Gallardo died at the accident scene. A passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Cathedral City woman, was injured and taken to a local hospital. It is believed that speed and fatigue contributed to the crash.
