Driver Arrested After Police Pursuit Causes Fatal Vacaville Accident

Vacaville, CA (June 1, 2020) – Two women were killed in a crash in Vacaville. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of June 1 on Alamo Drive.

A high-speed police pursuit on Interstate 80 led to a crash in the 1400 block of Alamo Drive. Two people were killed in the accident. They have been identified as Jaiah Metcalf, 21, of Sacramento, and Alazae Jeffrey, 19, of Elk Grove.

The driver has been identified as Tayshawn Larun Clayton, 21. She was arrested, taken to a local hospital and then taken to Solano County Jail. She faces multiple charges, including gross vehicular manslaughter, evading police and drug-related DUI. Bail has been set at $183,333.
