2-Vehicle Accident in Shafter Kills Jair Espinoza

Shafter, CA (October 29, 2018) – A 16-year-old Shafter High School student was killed in an accident in Shafter. The fatal crash occurred on the afternoon of October 29 on N. Shafter Avenue.

Jair Espinoza died in the crash, which happened near the Shafter Animal Control Shelter. He was driving a Honda sedan when he was hit by a Dodge truck.

He and his passenger suffered major injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Espinoza later died. The driver of the Dodge was not injured in the accident.
