Anaheim, CA (August 29, 2019) – Javier Jimenez, Jr., a construction worker, was killed while working around a trench at Disneyland. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of August 29, 2019.

The 38-year-old man was working around a trench when a piece of equipment accidentally hit a cross beam. The cross beam knocked down a large steel plate, which fell and hit the man.

The man was taken to UC Irvine hospital, where he later died. Jimenez worked for a contractor at Disneyland. The accident is under investigation by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
