Plane Goes Down Near Pond After Pilot Hits Birds
Colusa, CA (January 8, 2019) – Two people were killed in a plane crash in Colusa. The fatal accident happened on the afternoon of January 8 near a wildlife pond.
A dive team recovered the bodies of Jeffery Thomas Webber, 66, of Healdsburg, and Lionel J. Robin, 71, of Louisiana. An injured dog was found near the accident site.
The crash happened during a hunting trip. Webber, the pilot, hit a flock of birds and the plane went down. About 120 gallons of jet fuel emptied into a nearby pond.
