Car Hits Tree in Fatal Carmichael Accident

Fatal Accident

Carmichael, CA (November 14, 2019) – A child was killed in a crash in Carmichael. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 14 at Winding Way and Dewey Drive.

A Subaru sedan was cut off by a truck. The driver of the truck started backing up and putting on the brakes. The driver of the Subaru lost control and hit a tree. The impact caused the car to split into two. 

The driver of the Subaru, identified as Chardae Murphy, and her 4-year-old daughter, Jer’Liyah Stevenson, were both taken to a local hospital. The child later died. Police are looking for the other driver involved.

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months.
