Fresno, CA (August 5, 2019) – A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in Fresno. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of August 5 at North Angus Street and East Olive Avenue.

Clovis resident Jimmie Crosswhite, 77, was found unconscious at the intersection, next to his motorcycle. It is unknown how the crash occurred, but police believe another vehicle may have been involved. Crosswhite was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
