
Joe Delucas Killed in Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
Mario Medrano Arrested for DUI in Fatal Long Beach Accident
Long Beach, CA (September 29, 2020) – A man was killed in a chain-reaction crash in Long Beach. The fatal accident occurred on the evening of September 29 on Pacific Coast Highway.
Mario Medrano, 31, of Norwalk, was speeding in a Nissan Altima on Pacific Coast Highway, near Loynes Drive. The vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and collided with a Nissan truck driven by a 63-year-old Long Beach resident. The Nissan then collided with a Toyota Prius driven by a 58-year-old Long Beach resident. The Prius then collided with a Honda Pilot.
A passenger in the Nissan, identified as Joe Delucas, 30, of Los Angeles, died at the accident scene. Six people were injured and taken to local hospitals.
Medrano was arrested on DUI and murder charges and is being held on $2 million bail.
