Head-on Accident in Sonoma Causes Moderate Injuries

Auto Head On Collision

Sonoma, CA (August 14, 2019) – A head-on crash in Sonoma injured two people. The accident occurred on the evening of August 14 on Highway 121.

A Jeep Cherokee and Chevy Captiva collided head-on near Ram’s Gate Winery. Sonoma resident Jonathan R. Honig, 52, was driving the Captiva when his car drifted over the solid double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a Jeep Cherokee driven by Novato resident Antonio B. Monico, 56.

Monico was trapped inside his vehicle and rescued by firefighters. He was airlifted to a local hospital. Honig was also taken to a local hospital. Both suffered moderate injuries.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
