Detective Hits Tree in Fatal San Bernardino Accident

San Bernardino, CA (November 2, 2019) – A man was killed after crashing into a tree in San Bernardino. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of November 2 at N. University Parkway and Kendall Drive.

Joshua Burks, a detective with the Ontario Police Department, crashed into a tree at the intersection. He was killed in the crash. He was off duty at the time.

E-Cigarette Use Linked To ‘Cobalt Lung’

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months. The disease is also known as “cobalt lung.” The National Institutes of Health describes the disease as a “rare but serious disease of the lungs associated with inhalational exposure to tungsten or cobalt dust.”
