LAPD Officer Injured in Motorcycle Crash on 105 Freeway Near Atlantic Avenue

Police Looking for Driver in Hit and Run Accident in Lynwood

Lynwood, CA (June 3, 2019) – A police officer was injured in a hit and run crash in Lynwood. The accident occurred on the morning of June 3 on the 105 Freeway.

The Los Angeles police officer, a 52-year-old man, was traveling west on the 105 Freeway, near Atlantic Avenue. He was beside a BMW SUV in the lane when the BMW made an unsafe lane change. The BMW hit the ride side of the officer’s motorcycle.

The officer was ejected from his bike and landed in the center median. The officer was hospitalized with minor injuries. The BMW driver, fled the accident scene. It is described as a silver X5 SUV. A description of the driver is not available.
