Lasonia Tumbling Killed in Crash on West Century Boulevard
DUI Driver Fails to Stop at Red Light in Fatal Los Angeles Accident
Los Angeles, CA (April 19, 2020) – A woman was killed and another person was injured in a DUI crash in Los Angeles. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of April 19 at Century Boulevard and Olive Street.
A suspected DUI driver was heading north on Olive Street when she failed to stop for a red light at the intersection. The driver, a woman in her 30s, crashed into two vehicles.
One of those cars was driven by Lasonia Tumbling, 54, of Los Angeles. The impact caused her vehicle to go off the road and hit a traffic light signal. Tumbling was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the accident scene.
The driver who caused the crash was trapped inside her vehicle. She was rescued by emergency crews and taken to a local hospital. She faces DUI and manslaughter charges.
