Laurie A. Trejo Injured in Head-on Crash on Highway 58 Near West Pozo Road


Bill W. Keulen Detained in Hit and Run Accident in Santa Margarita

Santa Margarita, CA (September 11, 2019) – A woman was injured when she was hit by a pickup truck trying to pass dump trucks in Santa Margarita. The accident occurred on the morning of Any Type of Accident 14 1September 11 on Highway 58.

Laurie A. Trejo, 34, of Santa Margarita, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on westbound Highway 58 near West Pozo Road. At the same time, Bill W. Keulen, 35, of Paso Robles, was driving a Dodge pickup truck when he attempted to pass two dump trucks near a curve.

Keulen saw Trejo on her motorcycle, but he was unable to return to his lane in time. Keulen’s pickup hit the motorcycle head-on, causing it to go onto a dirt shoulder. Trejo was ejected from the motorcycle.

Keulen fled the accident scene, but police later found him at his home. He was detained and questioned, but not arrested. He could face felony hit and run charges.
