Banning, CA (May 23, 2019) – A man was killed in a crash in Banning. The fatal accident occurred on the morning of May 23 near Hargrave Street.

The crash occurred when a Nissan Sentra veered off the road. The driver, Luis Ochoa Ruiz, from Rialto, attempted to switch lanes and lost control. The vehicle spun out, went over an embankment and hit a tree.

Ruiz died at the accident scene. He was wearing a seatbelt. It is believed that the weather played a role in the accident, as there was significant rain at the time.
