Bicycle, SUV Collide in Fatal Blackhawk Accident

Blackhawk, CA (June 26, 2019) – A bicyclist was killed in a crash in Blackhawk. The fatal accident occurred on the afternoon of June 26 at Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard and Diablo Ranch Drive. 

The bicyclist, identified as Novato resident Maayan Jones, 46, was hit by a Chevrolet SUV at the intersection. The victim was found down in the road. Jones was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later died. The driver of the SUV remained at the accident scene.
