Man Injured in Crash at 8th and L Streets


Victim Hit by Pickup Truck in Modesto Accident

Modesto, CA (September 1, 2020) – A pedestrian was injured in a hit and run crash in Modesto. The accident occurred on the evening of September 1 at 8th and L streets.

A man was crossing the intersection in an unmarked crosswalk. One vehicle yielded to the pedestrian. However, a small dark-colored pickup truck went around the vehicle and drove back into the inside lane. The driver then hit the pedestrian.

The impact caused the pedestrian, an unidentified man, to be thrown toward the curb. He was found lying on the ground. He was hospitalized with unknown injuries. The driver of the pickup truck fled the accident scene.
