Jacumba Hot Springs, CA (December 24, 2019) – One person was injured in a solo-vehicle crash in Jacumba Hot Springs. The accident occurred on the morning of December 24 on Interstate 8. 

A driver was retrieving something from the back of his Ford Fiesta when the car hit a center divider and flipped over on Interstate 8, near Carrizo Gorge Road. Firefighters rescued a 66-year-old man from the car. He suffered major injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital.

A case study published in the European Respiratory Journal in December 2019 described a 49-year-old in California who developed hard-metal pneumoconiosis after using e-cigarettes for only six months.
