Elderly Driver Makes U-Turn in Motorcycle’s Path, Causes El Cajon Accident
El Cajon, CA (September 24, 2019) – A man was injured in a crash in El Cajon. The accident occurred on the afternoon of September 24 on Olde Highway 80.
A 20-year-old man from El Cajon was heading west on Olde Highway 80 in a Honda CBR 500 sport bike when an 89-year-old man from Alpine pulled off onto the shoulder in a Chrysler Town & Country minivan. The Alpine man made a U-turn into the path of the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist veered to avoid a collision with the minivan. He fell off his motorcycle and tumbled onto the road. He was then hit by the Chrysler. The man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
